Let's connect!
In 2018, I took the plunge and started the first teletherapy practice owned and operated by a OT, CHT. Through Virtual Hand Care, I have seen first hand how beneficial telehealth can be for both the client and the therapist. My goal with this course is to arm you with all the information and resources you need to determine if telehealth is right for you.
The concept of telehealth is not new however, like most things in the medical field it takes FOREVER to become mainstream. Talk to your neighbor, they have no idea what telehealth is. Right? It is not the first thing that pops into someones mind when they think of going to therapy. We have a long way to go but I am so happy to have you here on this WILD ride! Let’s keep the momentum going.
It is our time. As Certified Hand Therapists, we have a chance to reach more people in need, raise awareness of our specialty, and finally be known as the experts we are in upper extremity care. Through telehealth, we can collaborate with other healthcare professionals and build relationships beyond borders.
